Safe Trick or Treat:

Watch for the bright orange pumpkins of participating locations

Sullivan businesses for many years have been providing a safe alternative for Sullivan
families so kids can still enjoy the fun of “Trick or Treating” on Halloween night.

On Friday, October 31, 2008 area businesses displaying the bright orange pumpkin from 4:00 to 6:00 pm invite you to visit for “safe treats”. Be sure to thank them for their generosity to our community.

If you enjoy parades then come up to the square in down town Sullivan on Friday, October 31, 2008 for the Annual Halloween Kiwanis Parade. Kids of all ages are invited to enter the parade to display their costumes. Line-up for the parade begins at 6:00 p.m. and the costumed participants will start walking around the square for judging beginning at 6:30 p.m. Prizes are awarded for each category. Come early and enjoy dinner down town then participate in the Safe Trick or Treat program and end the evening marching in the Annual Kiwanis Parade. Sullivan, a community offering safe family fun!

The Sullivan Chamber & Economic Development sold Shotgun Manor to the Sullivan AmBucs club after three very successful years. Now the AmBucs invite you to visit Shotgun Manor Haunted House located on the east side of the square in downtown Sullivan. This will be the 4th year that volunteers will completely transform the 2nd floor of the Thrifty Boutique into a 4,000 sq foot haunted house. “We offer an adventure full of mystery and surprises to all of our customers” “thus they will hopefully decide to come back and visit Sullivan again”. Come visit Shotgun Manor, where your nightmares are waiting for you to arrive!
