The Sullivan Beautification Committee is the official advisory body to the Sullivan City Council concerning general beautification efforts. The committee is comprised of nine members that work on various beautification projects.
Our mission statement is to improve the overall aesthetic conditions within the city of Sullivan by researching, coordination and funding various enhancement projects.
The Committee goal is to advise the city on projects that will improve the appearance and lively-hood of Sullivan, especially in it's downtown district and along the state highways. We want residents and visitors to feel they are coming to a historical town with a homey atmosphere. There are currently 10,000 people who pass through Sullivan everyday. We would like to encourage them to stop and become visitors.
